Lights needed at Beaulieu Village

Cllr Michelle Hall is seeking whether it would be possible to get lights at the new Beaulieu Village estate.

‘Because there have been no housing estates there, there is really no lighting past the Newtown Blues Club, so there is one stretch that could do with one extra light,’ she added.

She was told it may be incumbent on the developer to install lighting and that will be checked out, as the council is under pressure with the annual lighting budget. She is also asking for traffic calming measures at Newtown Stalaban after a number of complaints from local residents. She says the stretch from Morgan’s Pub is really dangerous for residents, especially for people trying to enter and exit their properties.
