Illegal dumping at Aston Village needs addressing

A local councillor says the issue of illegal dumping at Aston Village on the Termonfeckin Road is getting worse, and should be addressed immediately.

‘It’s been going on a long time now and we need to do something about it as soon as possible,’ he said. ‘I asked months ago that No Dumping signs be placed at Wigan Street and in the car park, but nothing has been done, and we need to do something to combat it as soon as possible.’ Darius Messiah enquired as to whether the dumping was taking place near the green, but was informed there are a number of areas, including the car park, and he responded that he would look into any problems.
