Caretaker Peter will be missed
FAIR play to everyone at Sandpit school who said goodbye to retiring caretaker Peter recently, remarking,
‘Following decades of hard work and fantastic service to the school, today was a very sentimental day. We would like to thank Peter for going above and beyond in his duties to the school since he began with us.
‘We have frequently referred to Peter as the best caretaker in Ireland and that accolade is not given lightly. Peter has been with us for over 30 years and has been a much loved and valued member of staff. He can turn his hand to anything and there was no job too big or too little for Peter.
‘He also has great time for the children and they are very fond of him. We hope to celebrate this occasion in the future. We would like to wish Peter a very happy, enjoyable retirement!’ Well said.
