THE 29th Fatima Open was held on the Saturday before last at Ashfield Golf Course, and with fine weather there was some excellent scoring on brilliant greens.

The overall winner was Connor Macken with a great tally of 44 points. Other placings were as follows: 2nd Michael Markey 41pts, 3rd John McKeever 40pts, 4th Darren Keough 37pts, 5th Paul Connolly 32pts, 6th John Paul Casey 31pts.

Longest drive went to Garret Lennon, the Gerry Gallagher Memorial Prize was won by Leo Martin and the Kevin Mathews Memorial Prize winner was Brian Keough.

The committee would like to thank the Forge Bar proprietor­s for the great food provided and for the welcome they gave us on the night. The entertainm­ent by Connie Cullen was superb.
