BECAUSE of the Level 3 travel restrictions in place from Wednesday, a smaller field than usual was able to contest last week’s 18-hole stableford, sponsored by Casey’s Spar Culloville.

In the winning circle, not for the first time, Ali Ellis (28) took top honours with 36 points, and there was a welcome return to the podium - with a terrific 35 points playing off a handicap of 6 - for Louise Hanratty. The next 10 players were all within two points of the winners.
