DULEEK FIRM QUALITAS LTD SCOOPS AWARD
A MEATH COMPANY has won a top award at this year’s annual National Enterprise Awards. Duleek-based Qualitas Electronics Limited, who are supported by Local Enterprise Office Meath, took home the Regional award for the North East region.
Founded by Alan Jackson in 2017, he says his decision to start Qualitas was based on analysis that he carried out on the electronics industry over a number of years. He predicted a trend where there was a steady increase in demand in the local market for a high level service providing development, prototyping and production of high level complex electronic assemblies and devices. This demand was coming from within Ireland but also had potential to attract international customers if done right.
‘We were delighted, humbled and honoured to receive the award as it is always nice to get recognition from within the industry,’ said Alan of his win. ‘ Thanks to everyone for all the messages, phone calls of support and social media coverage – keep sharing! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Joe, Lorna and all the team in LEO Meath for their
incredible support over the last few years.’
Qualitas provides electronic manufacturing services to the Technology Sector, bringing products from R&D stage right through to production runs for clients. A start-to-finish service to build and assemble complex electronic components and devices to IPC Class 2 & 3 standards.
The awards, which took place virtually were broadcast online from the Mansion House in Dublin, are in their 22nd year and run annually by the Local Enterprise Offices. Jackie Maguire, Chief Executive Meath County Council, congratulated the winners.
