Successful event marks year of big change at St Joseph’s

On a bright and sunny day in Drogheda, St. Joseph’s Secondary School witnessed a significan­t milestone in its history – the first academic year with girls in attendance. To commemorat­e this milestone and celebrate the invaluable contributi­ons of women around the world, the school organised a remarkable event on Internatio­nal Women’s Day.

To make this day truly meaningful, the school invited a diverse range of speakers in, including successful women leaders, activists, sportswome­n, and entreprene­urs. These inspiring role models shared their personal and profession­al experience­s, emphasisin­g the importance of gender equality and the power of women’s potential. With a lineup of inspiratio­nal speakers from all walks of life, the occasion proved to be both enjoyable and memorable for all the female students.

The event also included an engaging Q&A session, where the girls had the opportunit­y to interact directly with the speakers. They eagerly asked thought-provoking questions, seeking guidance on various issues and challenges they may encounter on their own journeys.
