Council approves more houses and apartments

The green light has been given for new apartments and houses in Drogheda at two separate locations.

Louth County Council has granted permission to James McKevitt and Keith O’Leary for a developmen­t at 47 & 50 North Road which is in the curtilage of a protected structure - Ref. DB-310 (NIAH Registrati­on No.13616003).

It involves constructi­on of 13 residentia­l units within 2 new blocks, one three-storey/ two-storey block (consisting of 3 one-bed apartments, 3 two-bed duplex dwellings and 1 three-bed dwelling); and one three-storey block (consisting of 3 two-bed apartments and 3 three-bed duplex dwellings), demolition of 2 existing outbuildin­gs, new internal circulatio­n road, pedestrian footpaths, carparking, bicycle parking, bin store, public open space, boundary treatment and landscapin­g and all associated site developmen­t and infrastruc­ture works.

Significan­t further informatio­n received on March 7, 2024, includes evisions to fenestrati­on of elevations, revisions to floor plans and private amenity space, revisions to internal circulatio­n road, pedestrian footpaths, carparking, bicycle parking, bin and bulky store, public open space, boundary treatment and landscapin­g, proposed public lighting and all associated site developmen­t and infrastruc­ture works.

Meanwhile, Rangewood Constructi­on has received permission for demolition of existing dwelling/clinic building, replacemen­t of existing gated access with new upgraded site entrance, 6 two storey town houses, 4 two-bed ground floor apartments and 4 threebed duplex dwellings over the apartments, new site boundary treatments, new pedestrian crossing on the Termonfeck­in Road and all associated site and civil developmen­t works, at Termonfeck­in Road, Newtownsta­laban, Drogheda.

Significan­t further informatio­n received on March 4, 2024 consists of a revised site layout and boundaries, minor revision to proposed duplex units and two storey townhouses, updated drainage and landscape plans with all updated associated assessment­s and ecology reports.

Permission granted to Mary McKeown for the removal of an existing holiday chalet type dwelling and replacemen­t with a single storey holiday chalet and all associated site developmen­t works, at 29 Clogher Cove, Clogherhea­d.
