Greenhills’ TY production of Legally Blonde not to be missed
These are busy days for the Greenhills TY students, with a trip to Italy and a forthcoming musical extravanganza.
Recently, Greenhills TY students from the Home Economics class embarked on a culinary adventure to Italy. The trip was not only a feast for the eyes with stunning views of historic landmarks but also a treat for the taste buds as students delved into the world of Italian cuisine.
During their four-day trip, the students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the art of pasta and pizza making, learning from local experts and honing their culinary skills.
Highlights included a visit to Rome’s Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The group also had the opportunity to explore the picturesque towns of Sorrento and Amalfi, where they were introduced to the secrets of honey and marmalade production. Visits to a cheese-making factory provided insights into the intricate process of cheese production, while a tour of a gelato factory offered a sweet conclusion to their gastronomic journey. The trip ended with a captivating journey through time and an exploration of the ancient ruins of Pompeii.
The school trip not only broadened the students’ culinary horizons but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Italy with lasting memories created for all.
The team don’t get to relax just yet however as the TY production of Legally Blonde in the school assembly hall.
