BROWNIE PIZZA SLICE
Serves 8
100g/3.5oz/⅓ cup dark chocolate 100g/3.5oz/½ cup butter
200g/7oz/1 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs, lightly beaten 200g/7oz/1½ cups self-raising flour 2 tbsp cocoa powder
150g/5oz/½ cup Rolo chocolates, roughly chopped
120g/4oz/⅓ cup Maltesers (chocolatecovered malt balls), roughly chopped 4 tbsp caramel sauce
1 Preheat the oven 200˚C/180˚C fan/400˚F/ gas mark 6. Grease and line a 23cm/9in round baking tin with parchment paper.
2 Melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan over a low heat. Turn off the heat and gradually stir in the sugar and the eggs.
3 Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and stir to combine.
4 Spread into the tin. Sprinkle over most of the chopped Rolos and Maltesers, then press down into the batter.
5 Bake for 20 minutes until the edges are set but the middle is still slightly soft. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining chocolates.
6 Drizzle with the caramel sauce and slice into wedges to serve.
