HOW TO PROPERLY DEFROST YOUR FREEZER
1 Turn off the freezer.
2 Empty all the food and place it in plastic bags.
3 Place old newspapers and towels at the base of the freezer to soak up the water as it melts.
4 Wipe the inside of the freezer with a hot cloth.
5 Remove and wash any removable parts, such as ice trays and drawers.
6 Place a bowl of hot water in the freezer until the ice has melted.
7 Once melted, dry the freezer and clean it with an anti-bacterial cleaning solution.
• For even faster thawing, prop a fan on a chair.
Turn it on and let it blow into the freezer for about one hour.
• You can use a blow drier to speed up the melting process for larger chunks of ice. Be extra careful that no wires come into contact with water.
• To slow ice build-up, wipe the inside of the freezer with kitchen paper (paper towel) coated in vegetable oil.
