Sad­ness at pass­ing of Percy Rothwell

THERE was great sad­ness in En­nis­cor­thy af­ter news emerged of the pass­ing of Percy Rothwell of Borovale. Ex­tremely well-known and highly thought of in the lo­cal com­mu­nity, Percy passed away in the lov­ing care of the staff at Knoc­k­een Nurs­ing Home.

Beloved hus­band of the late Sylvia (née Stan­ley) he is deeply re­gret­ted by his lov­ing wife Joan, chil­dren Keith, of Beech­dale Gar­den Cen­tre, Nigel, Fraser, Ali­son and Verna; step-chil­dren Brian, Stu­art, Gavin and Bar­bara. He is also sadly missed by his brother Frank, sis­ter Florence Robert­son, daugh­tersin-law, sons-in-law, grand­chil­dren, great-grand­daugh­ter, sis­ters-in-law, broth­ers-in-law, ex­tended fam­ily and a large cir­cle of friends.

Percy’s re­mains will be repos­ing at Borovale House to­day, Tues­day May 15 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. His funeral ser­vice will take place on Wed­nes­day in St Peter’s Church Ross­droit at 2 p.m. with burial af­ter­wards in the ad­join­ing ceme­tery.
