In outlining the alleged facts of the case, Garda Raymond Moore said that gardaí responded to reports of an assault at 3.30 a.m. He said that at the scene, they met with Mr Murphy who said that he was the victim of an unprovoked attack. It is alleged that Breslin put his arm around Mr Murphy’s neck and pulled him to the floor and punched him in the face.
