Contravened a safety order

Enniscorthy Guardian - - NEWS -

THERE was no apperance at the District Court for an Enniscorthy woman charged with contravening a safety order.

Helen Murphy of 10 St Aidan’s Villas was charged with breaching a safety order by assaulting Mr Jason Murphy at Templeshannon on July 28 of last year.

Solicitor Ed King said he did not see his client in court and he had made her aware that she needed to attend. While initially, Inspector Sean Clince toyed with the idea of proceeding in Murphy’s absence, he said that she ‘could be in jeopardy’ and that it might be better to get a bench warrant for her arrest and bring her before the court. Judge Haughton agreed to this and issued the bench warrant at once.
