Special Wexford buses to the Papal Mass

WEXFORD will be operating a bus service especially for the World Meeting of Families Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park on Sunday, August 26.

The buses will bring people to the Papal Mass Coach Park on the Kylemore Road which is within walking distance of the mass site.

The buses from Wexford must be pre-booked and will operate from the following stops: Wexford, Oylegate, Enniscorth­y, Ferns, Camolin, Gorey, Arklow town (Lidl), Arklow town (Ferrybank), Jack White’s Cross, Ballincore, The Beehive and Wicklow town (Grand Hotel).

To book a seat visit www.wexfordbus.com and select ‘Dublin Papal Mass Coach Pk (Kylemore Rd)’ as the destinatio­n.

The departure times will be: Wexford (9.15 a.m.); Oylgate (9.30 a.m.); Enniscorth­y (9.40 a.m.); Ferns (9.50 a.m.); Camolin (9.55 a.m.); Gorey (10.15 a.m.); Arklow town (Lidl) (10.25 a.m.); Arklow town (Ferrybank - 10.30 a.m.); Jack Whites Cross (10.35 a.m.); Ballincore 10.40 a.m.; The Beehive (10.45 a.m.) and Wicklow town (Grand Hotel - 10.50 a.m.) with arrival at the Dublin Papal Mass Coach Park at 11.40 a.m.

The buses are scheduled to depart from the Coach Park on Kylemore Road after the mass at 7 p.m., however, time will be allowed for passengers to return to the buses so the departure time might be later.

All other scheduled bus services will operate as normal on Saturday, August 25, and Sunday, August 26th.

Bus Eireann will also be operating additional Expressway intercity services to Dublin and customers booking these services are guaranteed a seat with a shortened time due to limited stops.

Route 2 will take in: Wexford (7 a.m.); Enniscorth­y (7.20 a.m.); Gorey (7.45 a.m.) and Arklow (8 a.m.) and Route 4 will include: New Ross (6.30 a.m.); Waterford (7 a.m.) and Carlow (8 a.m.).

All other services will run as normal and tickets for the Papal buses must be purchased in advance.
