PUBLIC MEETING

A public meeting to decide the future direction of the Bunclody ‘Save the Hotel’ campaign will take place in River’s Edge, Bunclody on Tuesdau, August 7, at 8 p.m. Planning permission has been granted for the change of use of the Millrace Hotel to a 59-room nursing home.

Bunclody Market is open for business every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St Aidan’s Hall, Bunclody and at Market Square. Tea and coffee served beside the comfort and warmth of our lovely stove. Thursday, August 16, at 7 p.m. – ‘Another Link in the Chain’ Family history archival materials in Wexford County Archive. This talk by Gráinne Doran, Archivist with Wexford County Council, will explore some of the primary source materials in Wexford County Archive that are relevant to family history research.

Collection­s in local archive services tend to be overlooked for family history research purposes. Visuals will be provided from a diverse range of manuscript collection­s that reflect the cultural, commercial, maritime, political and social heritage of County Wexford. Booking essential.

Bunclody Swimming Pool is open for the 2018 summer season. Admission fees: Pay as you go – Adult €5 per hour; Pay as you go – Child €3 per hour. Opening hours 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and adults only from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
