Pharmacy Assistant course at Waterford College of Further Education

A FULL time course offering comprehensive training for participants in a retail pharmacy environment. The Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) module provides the student with extensive knowledge of over the counter medicines (OTC) and customer service in a retail setting. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of science based subjects in addition to IT skills necessary to work efficiently in a community pharmacy.

The IPU module is delivered by a qualified pharmacist, and successful candidates will receive an IP certificate from the IPU, in addition to the QQI certificate.

Students may also progress to participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme. This course may link with AIT, DIT & Carlow IT Pharmacy Technician course etc.
