COURTOWN LADIES

Tuesday, July 31, saw things back to normal. The good weather returned and the course is regaining its green look.

Another of our open days saw Glen Fuels sponsor the competition, and yet again we had a fabulous array of prizes to present.

We are very thankful to Glen Fuels who have been supporting us now for a number of years.

Results: 1, Jill Forsyth (Rathfarnham, 30), 39 points; 2, Mairéad Sunderland (21), 37 points (countback); gross, Sarah Donnellan (7), 30 points; 3, Nuala Swaine (Edmondstown, 19), 37 points; 4, Orla O’Brien (37), 37 points; nine-hole, Muriel Richards (28), 15 points (countback).

Saturday, August 4, a brilliant day for golf, saw our ladies play both 18-hole and nine-hole competitions.

Results: 1 (18 holes), Catherine Quinn (17), 38 points; 1 (nine holes), Suzanne Hall (15), 22 points; 2 (nine holes), Angela Merrigan (26), 20 points.
