-

The all-female music ensemble Celtic Woman have chosen Johnstown Castle as the backdrop to record a special television broadcast of an outdoor concert for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

The widely-travelled group will perform at the historic castle on September 13 and 14 and the show will be filmed over two nights. It will be their first outdoor show in nine years in Ireland in front of an invited audience, since their Songs from the Heart in 2009.

Celtic Woman have performed all over the world and are currently enjoying some time off after finishing a fourmonth tour of Australia and the US.

The group celebrate Ireland’s rich musical and cultural herit- age while continuing a legacy of introducing some of the country’s most talented singers and musicians onto the world stage.

Although tickets will not be on sale for the Johnstown Castle concert, there will be an invited audience and Celtic woman will be offering a selected amount of complimentary tickets to their followers. To register email castle@celticwoman.ie.
