County Council is main IT partner
WEXFORD COUNTY Council is the main collaborative partner on an IT Carlow initiative which is aimed at creating a new €1.3m Insurtech Network Centre for the region.
The scheme is being funded under the Regional Enterprise Development Fund and it’s expected the centre will provide business development services to support the creation and commercialisation of technology solutions to the global insurance services sector.
The centre will also provide business development programmes and services based around technology transfers. However, another significant aspect to the initiative is that it will also give entrepreneurs the opportunity to avail of workspaces.
Wexford County Council is the main collaborative partner on the project due to it having the largest number of insurance businesses in the south east region.
The Regional Enterprise Development Fund is aimed at supporting projects that will benefit local communities and the regions in which they are located.
