Over €2k of tools stolen in Bunclody

-

TOOLS carrying a value of €2,000 were stolen from the yard of Pat Skelton’s Car Breakers in Bunclody last week in a brazen burglary. The incident took place between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Friday morning and saw a range of Snap- On and Milwaukee branded tools taken.

Two thieves were spotted on CCTV entering the yard, both of whom were covered up and unidentifiable. They proceeded to remove the tools, consisting of gun ratchets, power packets and chargers from a container before making their getaway.

Mr Skelton made a plea on social media for people in the trade to keep an eye out for the goods and a full investigation is currently underway through Bunclody Garda Station.

‘ Two people were made out on the CCTV footage,’ a garda spokesman confirmed.

‘ The tools were of significant value and we would ask that people keep an eye out for them being offered around for sale in the coming weeks. Similarly, if anyone happened to see anything suspicious in the area at that time of the morning, we’d ask them to get in touch at Bunclody or Enniscorthy stations.’
