CASTLEDOCKRELL NS
Friday, October 26, was ‘Freaky Friday’ in Castledockrell NS Pupils and staff alike trans- formed themselves into all sorts of strange and spooky creatures. We then marched through the village in our annual Halloween hike. Throughout the day the children enjoyed some traditional Halloween games and activities. This year’s Halloween competition was to design and create a Halloween Trick or Treat Bag/ Bucket. The winners were Jack Kelly Doyle (Infants), Cody Levingstone (first/second class), Emelia Byrne (third/fourth class) and Ava Byrne (fifth/sixth class). The standard was very high. Well done to all who took part. The school reopened on Monday, November 5. We hope all our families had an enjoyable midterm break.
We will host An open evening on Wednesday, November 14, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the School. The old photographs and roll books will be on display. Fifth and sixth classes will do a presentation and perform some music and we will also celebrate Fr McDonald’s recent 40th Anniversary of his ordination.
We will finish the evening with some refreshments and a chat. For further information please contact the school at 053 9388892 or visit our website castledockrellns.weebly.com.
