CLOUGHBAWN GAA
We had a disappointing day on Saturday, October 27, when our intermediate hurling team lost out by two points to St Mogue’s Fethard-on-Sea in the replay of the intermediate final in Wexford Park, it was a closely fought game, with Fethard keeping in touch throughout the game, and just pulling ahead in the last few minutes of the games, hard for the players and managers than anyone else, and we really can’t fault them for effort, but we, as a club, will overcome this disappointment and will be stronger as a result.
Our Centenary Ball was held on Sunday Night, October 28, where there was a large crowd, showing support for our players and Celebrating 100 Years of our great club in style.
GAA LOTTO
There was no winner of the jackpot at the last draw October 27, numbers drawn were 2, 15, 16 and 21, John Kehoe five Canon Murphy Park, and James Kehoe Knockredmond were the match-three winners. ROBBERY
A person or persons stole rope, installed in ducting in the Amenity Area at Spout Road, for the purpose of pulling cables through for lighting. This constitutes a half mile of ducting. While the cost of the robe is approx. €50 the cost of reinstallation is estimated at €2,670. This operation of stealing was not carried out in a few minutes but took a considerable time. As many houses overlook the area it is possible someone saw the culprits.
We in Clonroche Development Association will appreciate any information we can get on this incident with a promise of anonymity. If we establish the identity of the perpetrators it is our intention to pursue, through the courts, for full costs. There was also a roll of cabling stolen from a roof in the facility. Enniscorthy Gardaí have been informed.
SPLIT-THE-POT
