‘Immaturity and attitude’ blamed for young defendant’s behaviour
A combination of what his solicitor called ‘immaturity and attitude’ landed Alex Keogh of 8 Rectory Fields, Enniscorthy before Judge Gerard Haughton.
The District Court dealt with a drugs possession charge arising from the discovery of €50 of cannabis at Keogh’s home on October 14, when he was aged 18.
A charge alleging obstruction was added by the prosecution when he refused to tell investigating gardaí the passcode for his phone which they had seized on the same occasion.
Keogh, now 19 and the father of a young baby, pleaded guilty on the double before he was fined €150 on the double a total bill of €300.
