Haulagecom­pany is prosecuted

INABILITY to account for three journeys undertaken by their lorries led to Road Safety Authority prosecutio­n against Stamp Transport Limited of the Old Dublin Road in Enniscorth­y.

The audit of tachograph data was carried out in 2017 when an RSA official met the company’s managing director Myles Stamp.

Solicitor Rory Deane pointed out that Stamp’s had 50 drivers on their books and that they undertook thousands of journeys.

A fine of €500 was imposed, with an order to pay costs of €400.
