Enniscorthy Library is to host a talk with the author of ‘Code Breaker’ – the untold story of Richard Hayes, the Dublin Librarian and Mathematician, who helped turn the tide of World War II – Marc McMenamin. As Ireland’s answer to Alan Turing, this is a riveting and deeply researched account of an extraordinary time: when Dublin became a hotbed of Nazi intrigue; how the fate of an independent Ireland hung in the balance; and how one man cracked a code that helped turn the tide of World War II the lecture takes place this Thursday at 7 p.m. Booking is recommended by calling the library at 053 9236055.
