Woman is fined €500 for parking in disabled space

MICHELLE THORPE, 21 Parkton Mews, Enniscorthy was fined €500 as the owner of a Laois registered vehicle found parked without the necessary permit in a slot reserved for people with disabilities.

The summons was issued after the offence was noted on a Saturday night at George’s Street in Wexford.

In setting the level of fine, Judge Gerard Haughton took account of the fact that the accused woman was not present at the court sitting in Wexford.
