Widow of late publican applies for licence transfer
THE widow of the late publican Paddy Furlong appeared before the District Court last week to make an application for the licence for the Templeshannon pub to be transferred into her name.
Mary Furlong was present in court and explained through solicitor Peter Creane that the licence had been in the name of her late husband.
In making the application for the transfer, she told the court that she had over 40 years experience in the trade and was familiar with all licensing laws and would continue to abide by them. There were no garda objections to the transfer and Judge Haughton granted it with little delay.
