KILCANNON Garden Centre and Restaurant will be opening Santa’s Winter Wonderland on December 2.

Every weekend thereafter, until December 23, it will remain open to visitors from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

The centre, which also offers a day service as part of its social enterprise role with County Wexford Community Workshop, is one of the most popular destinations in the county at Christmas time.

There is likely to be a big demand for children to visit Santa at the centre and speaking to this newspaper about the initiative the garden centre manager, Kenneth Bernie, said online booking is advisable through the centre’s website at www.kilcannon.ie

‘We employ people with disabilities and we also train people with disabilities for employment as well,’ he said.

Now in its 14th year the Winter Wonderland initiative is always immensely popular and while digital bookings are preferred Mr Bernie said people can also book through 053-9235514.

The cost of admission will be €15 per child with two adults getting in free-of-charge. Additional adult companions will be charged €5.

Christmas time is one of the most special times of the year - especially for children - and at Santa’s Winter Wonderland the festive season will truly kick into gear.
