White earns the points for Adamstown

Division2

Adamstown moved to within two points of Division 2 leaders Glynn Barntown with a hardfought away win over Crossabeg on Sunday.

An Ian White goal was the difference between the sides.

Ferns United are hot on their heels and they ran out impressive 5-0 winners over Cushinstow­n, with Ryan Nolan (two), Robert Vickers, Tommy Dwyer and Jonny Dwyer getting their goals.

Tom Kelly, Mark Corish, Lee Harper and Jonny Rogan got on the scoresheet for Rosslare Port in their 4-2 win over Killenagh Wanderers, while Shelburne and Enniscorth­y United drew 1-1, with Paudie Lynch scoring a penalty for the former and Niall Thorpe on target for United.

Division3

Another weekend and another win for Gorey Rangers. Raheen were their latest victims as they cruised to a 7-2 victory with doubles from Ethan Vickers, Dylan Vickers and Gary Murphy, and a goal from Dean McCann.

Duncannon picked up a good win on the road, with Adam Foley, Jamie Wallace and Ryan Slowey getting their goals in a 3-1 victory in Bunclody.

Nicky Quigley (two), Shane Lawlor and Anthony Westnott hit the back of the net for Rathnure United as they overcame Wexford Celtic 4-2.

Elsewhere, Bree United and Enniscorth­y Town came away with a point apiece after a 3-3 draw, with Noel Roche (two) and Wayne Dunne scoring for Bree and Darren Cullen (two) and Keith Casey replying for Town.

Meanwhile, Wexford Albion have withdrawn from the league and all teams due to play them have received three points.

Division3A

Rosslare Strand and Forth Celtic continue to lead the way in Division 3A after both sides registered victories on Sunday.

Dillon Parle bagged a hattrick for Strand in their 5-2 win over Wexford Bohs, with one coming from the penalty spot, while Danny O’Reilly got the other two, and he also converted a spot-kick.

Robbie O’Connor and Eddie Pitman got the goals for Bohs.

Anthony Hayes and Aaron Whitty netted two goals apiece as Forth Celtic overcame All Blacks 4-2, with Adam Devereux and Shane Goff replying.

Corach Ramblers earned a welcome win away to Bridge Rovers, with Joe Sinnott, Paul Diskin and Gareth McCurtin getting their goals in a 3-1 triumph.

Elsewhere, Ajax Athletic won 5-2 away to Ballymurn Celtic (see focus match).

Division4

Gorey Celtic and Rosbercon United look like they will both be in the shake-up come the business end of the season, and on Sunday they shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw.

Maxi Denisuk and Owen Byrne scored for the north county side, with Kevin Doyle and Jamie St. Ledger replying.

Bottom side Curracloe United shocked leaders Carne FC as they ran out 3-0 winners with goals from Mark O’Connor (two) and Kerill Sutton.

Adam Ellard netted a double with Oisín Condren getting the other goal for Courtown Hibs as they won 3-2 away to The Ballagh, with Cathal Kenny and Martin Og Storey scoring for the hosts.

Patrick Somers (two), Mick Stephens, Jamie Roban and Colin Beasley got the goals for Kiltealy Celtic as they chalked up an impressive 5-1 win in Campile, with Anthony Lawler replying.

Davie Fenlon fired Crossabeg in front against Ferns United, but the visitors responded with Gary Breslin grabbing the equaliser.

Division4A

Cloughbawn moved to the top of Division 4A by seeing off Rosslare Port 4-1 on Sunday.

Tommy Cogley, Stephen Kennedy and Eoin Furlong (two) got the goals for the leaders.

Enniscorth­y United earned the local bragging rights as they saw off Enniscorth­y Town 2-0 with goals from Darren Walsh (penalty) and Aaron Gannon.

Tombrack United lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a 2-1 win over Caim United. Josh McMullen and James Kavanagh scored for the winners, with Blayn Murphy replying.

Division5

Niall Finn was the hat-trick hero for St. Cormac’s as he fired his side to a 3-0 win over Bunclody, which saw the saints leapfrog their opponents to the top of the table.

New Ross Town are now level on points with Bunclody in second place after goals from Dean Donnelly, Dawidd Ruszczycki and Tomas Smitas saw them beat Ajax Athletic 3-1, with John Leacy scoring for the Enniscorth­y side.

Mark Redmond and Kevin Dugdale (two) got the goals for Shamrock Rovers in their 3-2 away win over All Blacks, with Mark Sinnott and Michael O’Brien scoring for the hosts.

Ferns United edged out Enniscorth­y United 2-1 with an Iulian Geara strike and an own goal, with Kyle Lacey replying.
