The second tour will take place on Monday, December 3 at 11.30 p.m. and will be facilitated by Deirdre Buggy as part of the Wexford Cultural Companions Scheme.
All are welcome to attend but booking is required in advance and can be arranged through lisa.fortune@ wexfordcoco.ie or by telephoning 053 9196369.
As one of Ireland’s most respected visual artists, Brian Maguire has distinguished himself through the social and political engagement he has brought to his artistic practice and career.
The stark absence of life within the Aleppo paintings is emblematic of the consequences of war and stands in contrast to our expectations of living city spaces. Once filled with bustling peo[ple and life, the crumbling structures are skeletal reminders of the communities and people destroyed through violence.
The exhibition continues at the County Hall in Carricklawn until Monday, December 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
