Rathnure Panto is ready to rock!

Enniscorthy Guardian - - NEWS -

WHILE the countdown to Christmas is exciting enough, the countdown is well and truly on for the renowned Rathnure Panto, which has its first staging this Sunday night. For the past 24 years, Rathnure Panto has been a consistent source of entertainment and Christmas cheer for families from all over the county and this year looks set to be one of the best yet as the gang presents another hilarious caper straight from the pen of John Reilly and Liam Sharkey.

‘Broomstick: Tinkerbell’s Christmas Adventure’ promises to be like nothing you’ve seen before!

The golden broomstick now hangs in Broomstick College, a college where witches are no longer evil and have even been taken off of Santa’s naughty list. When in the hands of good, the broomstick is all powerful and great, but it must not fall into the wrong hands as only one who is good and pure can harness its powers. Meanwhile in Lapland, preparations are underway for the biggest night of the year, but evil is afoot and could Christmas be ruined forever?

As always, the Rathnure Panto is a huge production with over 80 cast members and all the usual manic capers. The show features characters such as Puss in Boots, six elves, a cow, a chicken, reindeer who think they’re rabbits and a camel! How do they all link in? You’ll have to go along to find out!

The show runs on December 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 27, 28 and 29 at 7.45 p.m. nightly, with early evening shows on Sundays. For more information or to book your tickets, call the box office on 0870687801 or 0876954112.
