New classroom for Rathnure NS

RATHNURE National School is the latest to have been approved funding for an extension to be carried out.

It was announced on Friday that the Department of Education had approved the application for an extension consisting of one mainstream classroom with en suite toilet facilities and one bathroom for assisted users.

The news has been unanimously welcomed in Rathnure and speaking on the announcement on Friday, Minister Paul Kehoe hinted that more school projects may be approved shortly.

‘This is great news for students and staff at Rathnure National School who I know will be delighted that a new classroom is on the way,’ he said. ‘We must continue to invest in our school infrastructure and I am confident there will be more good news for schools in Wexford in the months to come.’
