New class­room for Rathnure NS

RATHNURE Na­tional School is the lat­est to have been ap­proved fund­ing for an ex­ten­sion to be car­ried out.

It was an­nounced on Fri­day that the Depart­ment of Ed­u­ca­tion had ap­proved the ap­pli­ca­tion for an ex­ten­sion con­sist­ing of one main­stream class­room with en suite toi­let fa­cil­i­ties and one bath­room for as­sisted users.

The news has been unan­i­mously wel­comed in Rathnure and speak­ing on the an­nounce­ment on Fri­day, Min­is­ter Paul Ke­hoe hinted that more school projects may be ap­proved shortly.

‘This is great news for stu­dents and staff at Rathnure Na­tional School who I know will be de­lighted that a new class­room is on the way,’ he said. ‘We must con­tinue to in­vest in our school in­fra­struc­ture and I am con­fi­dent there will be more good news for schools in Wex­ford in the months to come.’
