Bunclody braced for big Christmas lights switch-on

-

WITH December now upon us, it’s now universally acceptable to embrace the Christmas spirit and Bunclody will be doing just that as they officially switch on their Christmas lights at Market Square this Saturday at 5 p.m.

Organisers are hoping that the local community will be out in force to enjoy the entertainment for young and old which will include live music, family fun and maybe even an appearance from Santa himself. A lot of work has gone into erecting festive lights and decorations around the town and this year the honour of flicking the switch will go to local community stalwart, Derek Nally.

This isn’t the only Christmas fun taking place at the weekend in Bunclody either. On Friday, December 7, there will be plenty of festive feels in St Aidan’s Hall, Irish Street, as the Bunclody Market Christmas Evening takes place between 7 and 10 p.m.

This will also be the second weekend of the renowned Carrigduff Christmas Fair at Glanbia Garden Centre which will take place both this Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

People are encouraged to come out and support all events and embrace the magic of Christmas!
