NINE ICA TEAMS BATTLE IT OUT ON THE BOWLING LANES
MEMBERS of the Wexford ICA Federation travelled to Leisure Max where they participated in a bowling competition which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
The event saw nine teams participating and the federation expressed delight at how it went. The competition was organised by the federation’s Sports Officer, Anne O’Connor.
The teams were composed of members from different guilds and as such served as a ‘getting to know you’ networking event as well as sport-related social gathering.
It was one of many activities the members participated in this year highlighting the fact that the ICA is one of the most active community based organisations in the county.
Ms Connor thanked the members for their enthusiastic support of the event and for the enthusiasm they showed while taking part – which made it very enjoyable for everyone involved.
The winning team was composed of: Betty Kelly (Bree); Ann Kelly ( Wexford Town); Mary O’Byrne (Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour) and Breda Bolger Adamstown.
The runners-up team was composed of: Breda Donohue (Bree); Margaret O’Neill (Bree); Ellen Medallion (Oulart) and Mary O’Hanlon ( Wexford Town).
