MEM­BERS of the Wex­ford ICA Fed­er­a­tion trav­elled to Leisure Max where they par­tic­i­pated in a bowl­ing com­pe­ti­tion which ev­ery­one thor­oughly en­joyed.

The event saw nine teams par­tic­i­pat­ing and the fed­er­a­tion ex­pressed de­light at how it went. The com­pe­ti­tion was or­gan­ised by the fed­er­a­tion’s Sports Of­fi­cer, Anne O’Con­nor.

The teams were com­posed of mem­bers from dif­fer­ent guilds and as such served as a ‘get­ting to know you’ net­work­ing event as well as sport-re­lated so­cial gath­er­ing.

It was one of many ac­tiv­i­ties the mem­bers par­tic­i­pated in this year high­light­ing the fact that the ICA is one of the most ac­tive com­mu­nity based or­gan­i­sa­tions in the county.

Ms Con­nor thanked the mem­bers for their en­thu­si­as­tic sup­port of the event and for the en­thu­si­asm they showed while tak­ing part – which made it very en­joy­able for ev­ery­one in­volved.

The win­ning team was com­posed of: Betty Kelly (Bree); Ann Kelly ( Wex­ford Town); Mary O’Byrne (Kil­rane-Ross­lare Har­bour) and Breda Bol­ger Adamstown.

The run­ners-up team was com­posed of: Breda Dono­hue (Bree); Mar­garet O’Neill (Bree); Ellen Medal­lion (Ou­lart) and Mary O’Han­lon ( Wex­ford Town).
