Twitter boss in chamber talk

WEXFORD Chamber is presenting a talk by Twitter Ireland managing director Sinéad McSweeney on ‘ The Difference Between Being a Good Leader and a Transforma­tional One’.

Ms. McSweeney who is also Vice-President of Twitter’s Public Policy and Communicat­ions team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will be the keynote speaker at a Business Networking Lunch in Clayton Whites Hotel on Friday, December 14, hosted by the Chamber.

She joined the company in 2012 after working for five years as Director of Communicat­ions for An Garda Síochána from 2007 to 2012 and Director of Media and Public Relations for the Police Service of Northern Ireland from 2004 to 2007.

From 1996 to 2004, she held a range of political advisory positions in the Irish government including roles as Special Adviser to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and before that, at the Attorney General’s Office.

A native of Middleton, County Cork, Sinéad studied law at University College Cork and qualified as a barrister in 1993.

Advance booking is advised as the lunch promises to be one of the highlights of the Chamber calendar.

The cost for members is €35 and €45 for non-members, including lunch.
