Credit Union: Strong growth ahead of AGM

ENNISCORTH­Y Credit Union is reporting strong growth for 2018 ahead of its AGM on Wednesday, December 19. The credit union has reportedly provided loans of €18.4million to the local community over the past year with membership increasing by 963 people, bringing total membership to over 31,000.

The institutio­n has big plans for 2019 as well with new products and services in the pipeline to meet a growing demand from members. Having served the Enniscorth­y area since 1964, Enniscorth­y Credit Union in more recent years has grown to serve areas such as Ballymurn, Murrintown and Taghmon.

Liam Waters, acting manager at Enniscorth­y Credit Union, said: ‘Having enjoyed a strong year in 2018, Enniscorth­y Credit Union is now very much looking to the future and we are working hard to ensure that we will further enhance products and services for our members. We see great opportunit­ies for our credit union to grow and strengthen for our member’s benefit in the coming years and this will, as always, be our priority.’

Enniscorth­y Credit Union’s AGM will take place at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19 in The Riverside Park Hotel. All members are invited to attend and some great door prizes will be on offer on the night.
