Enniscorthy man who failed to turn up in court gets drugs conviction

-

SEAN CULLEN (33) of 4 Meadowlands Court, Enniscorthy passed up a chance to avoid a drugs conviction.

Details of how €10 worth of cannabis was seized from Cullen at Slaney Street in December of 2016 were given at a previous court sitting.

On that occasion, the defend- ant was told that he would be given the benefit of the Probation Act once he paid €300 to the Cornmarket Project.

As no receipt was produced to show that such a donation had been made, and Cullen was not present in court, the judge moved to impose the conviction, with a fine of €300.
