Off-licence scoop for Pettitt’s

WEXFORD HAD reason to celebrate at the 26th annual Edward Dillon and Santa Rita Estates SuperValu Off Licence of the Year Awards when Pettitt’s SuperValu on The Quay took home one of the four awards.

The store won Small Store of the Year at the ceremony which was held in the Galway Bay Hotel. Matthew Foley and Mary Roche were present on the night to represent the store. In addition to the win, two other Wexford stores were named as finalists in this year’s Off Licence of the Year Awards: SuperValu Enniscorth­y and SuperValu St Aidan’s.

The winners will enjoy an exclusive trip to Cape Town, South Africa. All finalists received a certificat­e of achievemen­t on the night.

Speaking at the event, Andy O’Hara, CEO of Edward Dillon said: ‘Each year the standard of the stores gets higher and higher. We would like to thank and congratula­te all the four winning stores, and also to each of the finalist stores who took part in the competitio­n.’
