CHRISTMAS DRAW RESULTS

The Tara Hill Community Alert and Tara Hill developmen­t Group Christmas draw took place in the Taravale pub, Ballymoney on Sunday night, December 2. Winners were as follows.

First – cash €500 – Irene Gregan; second – cash €250 – Shauna Downes; third – cash €150 – Chris Walshe; fourth – cash €100 – Roger Norman; fifth – Christmas hamper – Christine Duffy; sixth – Bottle Baileys – Mark Chapman; seventh – Bottle Wine – Padraic Roche.

Thank you to all who donated, sold tickets, or helped out in any way. Your support and contributi­ons were very much appreciate­d. A special word of thanks to Jim Dempsey and Brian and Grainne Hughes, and also to the Taravale for allowing us to use their premises to hold the raffle.

LIGHTING OF CHRISTMAS TREE

Tara Hill Community Alert and Developmen­t Associatio­n will have Carol Singing in St Kevin’s Church on Sunday, December 16, at 5 p.m., and will be followed by the arrival of Santa to switch on the lights on the outdoor christmas tree at the church. Santa will be giving out some treats to the children on the night. All welcome to attend.

GRADUATED

Congratula­tions to Kevin O’Connor son of the late Martin and Trish O’Connor, kilcavan, Tarahill, who graduated from Maynooth colledge with a degree in music and Business. Wishing Kevin all the best for the future.

REMEMBRANC­E CARDS

The remembranc­e cards that were placed on the Remembranc­e Tree in the church for the month of November, can now be collected from the church. May they all rest in peace.

LADIES’ CLUB

Ladies from Tara Hill ladies’ Club gathered on Monday night last for the last get together for 2018. Tea and seasonal cakes were had by all, along with the usual chats. A donation was made to St Aidan’s instead of the Kriskindle this year. May thanks to all who so generously donated. Next meeting will be Monday, January 7, 2019. Wishing all our members, friends and families a happy and peaceful christmas.

CHRISTMAS DISCO

Tara Hill school will host a family chrismas disco in the Orphan Girl on Sunday, December 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A monster christmas draw will take place at the disco. Fantastic prizes to be won. Tickets available from school. All proceeds to tarahill school, and our ladys hospital for sick children crumlin.

SVP COLLECTION

A cllection for St Vincent de Paul will be held in the school between now and December 21. toys, money, perishable items will be collected and donated to St Vincent de Paul. Thanking you in advance for your generosity.

GAA CLUB AGM

The Castletown Liam Mellows AGM takes place Friday, December 14, at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse, Tomnahealy, Castletown. Everyone welcome to come along.
