CHRISTMAS GATHERING

Our Christmas Gathering was a great success and enjoyed by all on Sunday 2nd in our Parish Hall. Our deceased family members and friends were remembered at Mass. May they rest in peace. We had plenty of dancing, recitations from Bridie Murphy, Pat Barry, songs from John Jackman and Owen Gordon which were very much appreciated by all.

We would like to thank Peter Doyle, Daybreak Supermarket Ballymurn, for his generous donation of the Turkey/Ham, the use of his staff and facilities, Ballymurn Youth Club for their generous contribution of monies/ spot prizes, Micheál and Minnie O’Connor the Carpet Gallery, Hughie Byrne, Anvil Bar, John and Breda Redmond, Dockrell’s and all the people who contributed monies, food and the enormous amount of spot prizes received.

A special word of thanks to our Community Employment Supervisor and participants for all their work, the catering team who were joined again this year by girls from our Youth Club. These young people are brilliant, hard working with excellent interpersonal skills, who willingly took direction from their leaders, they are a credit to their families.

We thank John Doyle from Monageer, who gave his time to join Paddy and Shay on the night. Thanks for the music and to all who entertained us on the night.
