THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Auditions for the Von Trappe children’s parts in the musical ‘The Sound of Music’ will be held in Oylegate Community Centre on Wednesday, December 12, at 8 p.m. Show will be staged in Oylegate Community Centre on March 27, 2019.
Characters include: Liesel – daughter aged 16 years. Frie- drich – son aged 14 years. Louisa – daughter aged 13 years. Kurt – son aged 10 years. Briggita – daughter aged nine years. Marta – daughter aged seven years. And Gretl – the youngest daughter. All ages are approximate but need to be close to those stated.
All are singing parts and those who wish to audition will be required to sing solo on the night for the musical director. ‘Doe a deer ‘from the show is a very popular number to sing. If some adults wish to come along to audition they are also welcome.
TUESDAY BINGO
Bingo will be on this Tuesday night for this week in Mernagh’s Lounge, Oylegate at 9 p.m. Please come along and a fun night out. A great excuse to catch up with friends while fundraising at the same time.
ICA NEWS
The Oyegate ICA will hold their coffee morning on Thursday, December 13, in Mernagh’s Lounge Oylegate. All support would be greatly appreciated. Coffee morning.
A total of €700 was raised at a recent coffee morning in aid of the Hope Centre and the SERT Bus. Many thanks to all who supported the morning and to Mernagh’s for the use of the lounge, Again many thanks.
GAA NEWS
Our Junior hurlers had another great win against Graigue Ballycallan in the semi-final of the all-Ireland series in Limerick. They have now qualified for the Leinster semi-final of the competition and will play Ballinderren from Galway on Saturday, January 12, at 2 p.m. Well done to all concerned.

SUNDAY BINGO
Bingo continues in the Slaney Inn on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. with many cash prizes on offer. Oylegate United are the local charity currently benefiting on the night and would like to invite all interested to come along for a great night, and all support would be greatly appreciated.

Local Link Wexford provides secure, reliable and affordable transport for the rural communities of County Wexford. Services are open to everyone and all ages. The services will accommodate those attending appointments, shopping etc. Where possible they will collect passengers from their homes. An information booklet together with timetable is available at the back of the church.
