Campus is a cert for interesting courses
The Wexford Campus of IT Carlow’s Life Long Learning Department celebrated the success of 187 students who completed accredited short certificate courses in a wide range of subjects.
Certificates were presented in Psychology, Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Foster Care, Pastoral theology, Challenging Behaviour, Restorative Practices and Advocy among others.
The Certificate in Pastoral Theology appeals to anyone who would like to expand their knowledge and skills in Religious Education and Theology The course equips participants with the necessary, knowledge, attitudes and understanding for pastoral care in a wide variety of contexts including schools, local communities, youth work, voluntary organisations, adult faith formation groups, family ministry, support groups, parish liturgy groups and parish development groups.
The Certificate in Meeting the Chal- lenge of Challenging Behaviour appeals to managers, staff and carers who have to develop and implement comprehensive behaviour support plans. It helps participants understand the causes of challenging behaviour and to complete background behaviour assessments.
Among the new courses starting at the Wexford Campus in January are: Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Entrepreneurship; Ageing Studies; Project Management and Communications; Restorative Practices; Data Protection (Springboard); Adult and Community Education; Meeting the Challenge of Challenging Behaviour; Advocacy; Leadership, Strategy and Governance; Health, Safety & Environmental Management; Management & Governance for Youth and Community work and Irish Historic Houses
