Child (3) was standing in front seat of car without a seat belt

MICHAEL CONNORS (34) from 42 Carraig Bán, Bunclody attended the District Court in Gorey to deal with a motoring summons.

The prosecution arose after a garda spotted a three year old child in the car being driven by Connors at Market Square in Bunclody on April 31.

The youngster was standing up in the front of the car, with no safety belt or harness.

The accused motorist told Judge Gerard Haughton he was unemployed before a fine of €150 was handed down, with six months allowed for payment.
