Bench warrant for man’s arrest

A BLACKWATER man has had a bench warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to appear before Judge Haughton on a drugs charge.

Kevin Doyle (21) of 25 Riverside, Blackwater, had previously been given the opportunity to avoid a conviction by making a donation to The Cornmarket Project.

When the case was called, the court clerk said she was unaware whether the donation had been made. When there was on appearance from the defendant, gardaí requested a bench warrant and Judge Haughton complied.
