Enniscorthy in U-18 final
ENNISCORTHY 31, CARLOW/ TULLOW 17: The Enniscorthy Under-18s were successful in the South-East League semi-final in Ross Road on Friday, beating Carlow/Tullow by 14 points.
A great first-half saw a blistering start, with the home side a try up after two minutes.
With a further three tries in the half, and one scored by the visitors, the half-time score was 24-7. The score of the match was a try which was a solo run nearly the length of the pitch by Michael McGinty, evading multiple tackles in the process. Mikey Nolan and Michael Kinsella-Shiggns also got on the scoresheet.
The second-half was somewhat tamer, with two unconverted tries by the visitors to one converted try by the home side, scored by James Doyle.
Enniscorthy were on top all night with the result fully deserved, and they now face either Wexford Wanderers or Gorey in the final.
