Sham­rock Rovers are too hot to han­dle for Bridge

Premier Di­vi­sion lead­ers Sham­rock Rovers showed no signs of let­ting their form slip af­ter the Christ­mas break as they cruised to a 5-1 win over Bridge Rovers on Sun­day.

Peter O’Rourke, Ricky Dwyer, Marty Kelly, Kamil Kutkiewicz and Alan Free­man scored for the pacesetters, who will put their un­beaten record to the test against cham­pi­ons North End United next week­end.

Shane Ho­gan got the goal for the Castle­bridge side.

Moyne Rangers are also very much in the shake-up and on Sun­day they picked up an­other three points against Forth Celtic.

James Peare and Tomás ‘Mossy’ Ma­hon scored for the En­nis­cor­thy out­fit as they moved into sec­ond spot.

Gorey Rangers fought back from two goals down at the break to earn a 3-2 tri­umph over Wex­ford Bohs at Ram­stown.

Bohs looked to be on their way to a no­table scalp with strikes from Seán Pail­ing and Der­mot Flood giv­ing them a 2-0 buf­fer, but the hosts had dif­fer­ent ideas and stormed back for vic­tory with goals from Jamie Howard, Paul Bren­nan and Adam Ter­rit.

Paddy Ka­vanagh was the match-win­ner for Bun­clody as he grabbed the only goal of the game to earn his side a 1-0 tri­umph away to Cour­town Hibs.

Clough­bawn moved into sec­ond place in Di­vi­sion 1 thanks to a 2-0 win over North End United on Sun­day. Wil­lie Mur­phy and Páidí Cullen got the goals for the pro­mo­tion-hope­fuls.

Tom­brack fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Moyne Rangers, with Jamie Walsh grab­bing their equaliser in the 94th minute.

Rory Newe got their ear­lier goal, while Dayle Dono­hoe and Joshua O’Byrne hit the back of the net for Moyne.

Adamstown drew level with Glynn Barn­town at the sum­mit of Di­vi­sion 2 af­ter over­com­ing Ross­lare Port 4-2 on Sun­day.

Conor Hickey hit a hat-trick and Bran­don Sin­nott got the other goal for Adamstown, who face fel­low high-flyers Glynn Barn­town next week­end. Jamie McMa­hon scored twice for Port.

Ferns United are hot on the heels of the lead­ing pair af­ter ek­ing out a 2-1 win over Kil­lenagh Wan­der­ers with goals from Keith Breen and Jonny Dwyer.

Adam Sin­nott and Seamie McLough­lin hit the back of the net for Tagh­mon United in their 2-0 win over Shel­burne.

St. Joseph’s closed the gap on the top two with a 2-0 win over Dun­can­non on Sun­day. Des Mythen and Cal­lum O’Reilly scored for the Kil­muck­ridge side.

Noel Roche (two), Ed­die Gala­van and Mark But­ler hit the back of the net for Bree United in their 4-1 win in Bun­clody, with Jamie Wil­son re­ply­ing for the hosts.

Lead­ers Forth Celtic had to set­tle for a share of the spoils on Sun­day as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Co­rach Ram­blers.

An­thony Hayes and Keith Mur­phy scored for the Mur­rin­town men, with Gareth McCurtin and Paul Diskin on tar­get for the vis­i­tors.

Oyle­gate United dented Ajax Ath­letic’s pro­mo­tion hopes as they ran out 3-2 win­ners with goals from Tommy O’Rourke, Richard Mur­phy and Lee Ke­hoe, with Liam Moore and John Mur­phy re­ply­ing for the Ra­jahs.

Fethard were much too good for Bridge Rovers in the base­ment bat­tle, fin­ish­ing 4-1 win­ners with goals from Gra­ham O’Grady, Joe Sut­ton, Seán Dono­hoe and Adam Wa­ters, with Mark Browne scor­ing for Rovers.

Camolin Celtic picked up three points on Sun­day as they ran out 3-1 win­ners over Kil­tealy in their Di­vi­sion 4 clash.

Peter McSwiney and Glen Car­ton (two) got the goals for the win­ners.

Jody Dono­hoe got on the score­sheet for Cur­r­a­cloe United, with Martin Og Storey re­ply­ing for The Bal­lagh in their 1-1 draw, while Cross­abeg and Campile United shared the spoils af­ter a 0-0 draw.

Clough­bawn leapfrogged St. Joseph’s to the top of Di­vi­sion 4A af­ter over­com­ing their ri­vals 2-0 on Sun­day. Mick McGrath and Eoin Fur­long got the goals for the new lead­ers.

Caim United are just two points off the pace af­ter earn­ing a 2-0 win away to En­nis­cor­thy Town, with Adam Nagy and Thomas Browne get­ting their goals. Dy­lan Groarke (two), Ryan Mur­phy and Benny Byrne hit the back of the net for En­nis­cor­thy United in their 4-0 win over Tom­brack.

Daniel Fur­long and Bran­don Cullen scored for Tagh­mon United in their 5-2 loss to Cas­tle­dock­rell, with Colin Quigley bag­ging a hat-trick for the win­ners and Adam Harte and Shane Mer­nagh get­ting a goal apiece.

A Ken Cahill goal earned St. Leonards a 1-1 draw with Ross­lare Port, with Adam Pit­man grab­bing the Port goal.

Sham­rock Rovers lead the way in Di­vi­sion 5 af­ter their 3-1 derby win over En­nis­cor­thy United on Sun­day. Mark Red­mond, Kevin Dug­dale and Gra­ham Nolan scored for Rovers, with Ai­dan Cana­van re­ply­ing.

Wex­ford Bohs are one point be­hind the lead­ers with three games in hand af­ter they saw off fel­low high-flyers St. Cor­mac’s 3-1.

Aaron Lam­bert, Beau Bren­nan and John Con­way scored for Bohs, with Ger Daly hit­ting the back of the net for the saints.

Else­where, Ferns United earned a 2-1 win away to Ajax Ath­letic, with the hosts scor­ing through an own goal.
