Next session of storytelli­ng in Castledock­rell Hall is on Thursday, January 17, at 8 p.m. Refreshmen­ts served. Thanks to all friends from far and near who month after month during 2018 travelled for Storytelli­ng Sessions. We look forward to welcoming you back for 2019. Whether you can attend every month or only now and again you are welcome. Come along and bring a friend. Happy New Year to all.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Monica Atkinson, who died recently. May she rest in peace.

BINGO

Bingo continues every Thursday evening in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre starting at 8.30 p.m. with three big jackpots to play for.

Thanks to all who attended the bingo and to those who helped out at bingo each week for your continued support throughout 2018.

SOCIAL DANCING

The next social in Marshalsto­wn community centre takes place on Friday, January 18, with music by Glenn Flynn. Doors open 9.30 p.m. Dancing starts at 10 p.m. Admission including tea is €8.

DUMPING

It was disappoint­ing to see people have started dumping household rubbish on roads within the parish over the Christmas/ New Year time including clothing and turkey carcasses.
