SOCIAL DANCING

The next date for social dancing in Oylegate Community Centre is Sunday, January 13. Music on the night is by ‘the lonely little robin’ man himself, Pat Daly, who makes a welcome return to Oylegate. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. Admission €8. Come along for a lovely night on music and dance.

5K FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK

Oylegate United will host a 5K Family Fun Run and Walk on Sunday, January 13. Registrati­on from 9.30 a.m. at Oylegate Community Centre. Run and Walk starts at 10.30 a.m. Find us on Facebook for more details.

SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY

The senior citizens party will be held on January 27, in the community centre at 5 p.m. Invitation­s will be delivered in the next week.

GAA NEWS

Following a great match and win over Graigue/Ballycalla­n and a man of the match award for Padraic O’Connor our Junior Hurlers will now play Ballinderr­in of Galway in the Junior B Leinster final on Saturday the 12th in Killeedy Co. Limerick. We wish manager John Conroy and the team the very best of luck.

A supporters bus is travelling up on the day and if anyone is interested in travelling to the game in Limerick please contact Majella Doran or any committee member.

Walking Track: Commencing Monday, January 7, the top track will be fully lit every Mon/Weds/ Friday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for anyone who wishes to avail of the facility to get fit and healthy for 2019. Everybody welcome. Unfortunat­ely for health and safety reasons guide dogs only are allowed.

GAA Penny Bank: The club penny bank has resumed for 2019 new members are always welcome, contact any committee member for more details.

GAA Syndicate Draw: Winners for December were John Ryan, Seán Browne Court and Damien Foran/Mary McCauley. Lotto winnings were €113. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year and we look forward to your continued support in 2019.

Local Link Wexford provides secure, reliable and affordable transport for the rural communitie­s of County Wexford. Services are open to everyone and all ages. The services will accommodat­e those attending appointmen­ts, shopping etc. Where possible they will collect passengers from their homes.
