CWCW COLLECTION THANKS

At the recent church gate collection in the Ballagh, €402 was raised for the Co. Wexford Community Workshop. Thank you to all the generous contributo­rs and well done to those who organised and helped with the collection.

CFR IS LIVE

The Oulart-The Ballagh Unit of Community First Responders is live, seven nights a week and all day at weekends, assisting the National Ambulance Service, on a totally voluntary basis. For queries please contact Vickie (087 7780749) or Ger (086 1578484).

GAA DEVELOPMEN­T DRAW

The Final Draw of Year two of the GAA Developmen­t Draw resulted in the following prize-winners: Fiona Murtagh, The Adams Family and Michael and Marie Redmond.

COMMIT TO BE FIT

As the ‘Race to be Mayor’ hots up, the organisers are being most creative, coming up with very interestin­g ideas. Phil Redmonds team have organised Circuit Training, for all levels of fitness, in the Ballagh Community Centre, on Mondays and Thursdays, starting on Monday, January 7, with a Talk on Healthy Eating and Nutrition from Chloe Carton, with training starting immediatel­y after the talk. The cost is €5 per night or 12 classes for €50.

Having organised a hugely successful ‘Truck and Tractor Run’ and a Monster table quiz recently, Spongers team will hold a Talent Competitio­n in Marty’s Bar, Oulart on January 12. The winners of the Talent Competitio­n will go forward to the Grand Final that will be held at a later date.
